About Us
Our Story
In 1996, Skip and Cyd Li felt called to move to the University District in Seattle, to mentor students seeking guidance. They were drawn to 16th Avenue, where many students lived in need of support, and their vision was to create a community centered on relationship, mentorship, and sharing life experiences.
By 2010, the Vision 16 community had grown to include four houses and had impacted hundreds of students. That same year, inspired by the lasting impact of the community, a group of alumni established University Vision Leadership — an organization dedicated to providing scholarships for student leaders who would otherwise be unable to afford living in the Vision 16 community.
